CyberInflight provides market intelligence cybersecurity services, tailored for the space industry. Our space cybersecurity marlket intelligence report offers a detailed analysis of the space cybersecurity sector, base on our expertise in market economics, threat intelligence, regulatory landscape, competitive analysis and so forth.

Released in July 2024, our Space Cybersecurity Market Intelligence Report, Edition 2024, highlights key trends and market intelligence indicators for the space cybersecurity sector.

Our goal is to tackle the challenge presented by the ever-growing space cybersecurity ecosystem.

CyberInflight addresses this challenge by bringing together high value-added space cybersecurity information into the Space Cybersecurity Market Intelligence Report, Edition 2024.

In addition, we have designed this report to be regularly updated to include the most important and relevant information to provide thorough market intelligence on Space Cybersecurity ecosystem for space industry.

What sets this 2nd Edition apart from the 1st Edition?

  • As it offers more detailed and comprehensive value-added information, the Threat Intelligence chapter covers 75 cyberattacks and electronic warfare attacks that took place since the last edition (out of the total of 391 at end of Aug. 2024).
  • In this edition of the report, CyberInflight identified around 500 stakeholders (vs. 265 stakeholders in 2023) that have publicly demonstrated operational capabilities in the field of space cybersecurity. Most of these stakeholders are based in Europe or the US, which are the two main hubs for space cybersecurity. However, there is also growing activity in the Asia (or the APAC region in general), LATAM, and MEA regions compared to last year’s report. This report also focuses on including the entities involved in information sharing, such as the newly established EU Space ISAC.
  • The chapter Space Cybersecurity Economy offers 10 years of forecasts with an in-depth trend analysis. This chapter also highlights 95 contracts, signed for the year 2023-2024 (out of 229), that focus on specific ecosystems in the EU, such as France and Italy, and in the USA, such as NASA and Colorado space cybersecurity.
  • The Regulatory Landscape chapter has been updated, including new frameworks such as the BSI’s IT-Grundschutz for Space Systems and NASA’s Space Security Best Practices Guide. The update also includes a focus on European Space law and the strategy for security and defense, with a secondary specialized focus on the American ecosystem.
  • The Technology chapter includes a new section devoted to quantum technology, security, and supremacy, and provides an overview of the main stakeholders in this field and their capabilities.
  • The CyberInflight team has developed a fictional scenario, ‘Thunderlight,’ to help us imagine the impact of a systemic attack on a sattelite operator in 2030.
  • This 2nd edition includes two comprehensive chapters focusing on Russian and Chinese Space Cybersecurity Landscapes.

This report provides a fresh perspective on the rapidly evolving space cybersecurity ecosystem. Based on CyberInflight’s rigorous research and interviews with leading market players, it provides all essential information that the space industry needs to know about the space cybersecurity sector and to support the space ecosystem in facing the challenges raised by the new cybersecurity threats and trends.
